Sage Organic Myrovolos

Ingredients: Dried organic sage leaves.

As a beverage it can be served hot or cold. It is also used to season meat, pasta, broths, and sauces. Considered to have many natural properties beneficial to humans.

INFUSION: As soon as the water starts to boil, remove it from the heat and add the
herb. Leave it for 5-10 minutes, strain it and use it. The usual ratios for the infusion are 1-3 teaspoons for each cup of water.

HERBAL TEA: Take the healing part of the plant and boil it with water. If it’s finely
chopped, it only needs to be boiled for 5 minutes, otherwise 5-15 minutes. The ratio is three spoons in two cups of water.

The sage is used in cooking as a seasoning by flavoring meats, pasta, broths and
sauces.

The sage leaves have antiseptic, expectorant and spasmolytic properties. The plant has oral, tonic and cardiotonic properties and it is also used against neuralgia. It is also used in therapeutic herbal remedies, internally, as an antiperspirant (especially against night sweats of tuberculosis and neurasthenia patients). The sage tea is ideal for the treatment of the mouth in case of injuries, aphthae, pharyngitis and gingivitis. It reduces intestinal gases, while it is particularly diuretic and emmenagogue. It is also a haemostatic and local anesthetic for the skin. Moreover, It has antibiotic, antifungal, anticonvulsant and hypoglycemic activity.
