INFUSION: As soon as the water starts to boil, remove it from the heat and add the herb. Leave it for 5-10 minutes, strain it and use it. The usual ratios for the infusion are 1-3 teaspoons for each cup of water.
HERBAL TEA: Take the healing part of the plant and boil it with water. If it’s finely chopped, it only needs to be boiled for 5 minutes, otherwise 5-15 minutes. The ratio is three spoons in two cups of water.
It is used in cooking and confectionery. Verbena leaves are used to add lemon flavor (when it has been cooked) to fish and poultry, vegetable dishes, marinades and sauces.
